Uwe Degel 1.2 7 Die Dichtehöhe (Density Altitude) ist die Höhe in der Standardatmosphäre (ISA), die der in der Flughöhe des Flugzeugs herrschenden Luftdichte entspricht. Die Luftdichte beeinflusst sowohl die Aerodynamik als auch die Leistung des Triebwerks und damit die Gesamtleistung des Flugzeugs.

Uwe Degel 1.2 9 Es kann durchaus vorkommen, dass ein Flugzeug in einer wahren Höhe von z. B. 8.000 ft fliegt, in dieser Höhe aber eine Luftdichte entsprechend einer Höhe von 10.000 ft der Standardatmosphäre herrscht. Eine große Dichtehöhe bedeutet vor allem längere Startstrecke, geringere Steigleistung und geringere Dienstgipfelhöhe des Flugzeugs.

11 Die Berechnung der Dichtehöhe erfolgt in zwei Schritten:

Uwe Degel 1.3 13 1. Umrechnung der QNH-Höhe (Höhenmesser ist auf QNH eingestellt) in Druckhöhe (Höhenmesser ist auf Berechnungen und Formeln Für Piloten 1013 hPa eingestellt); 1 hPa Differenz entspricht etwa 30 ft (barometrische Höhenstufe).
